Shoots was founded by Sam Schutte, a current student-athlete at Calvin University, studying Business and playing football, with over a decade of hands-on experience in landscaping and exterior care. The business was born in the green industry—starting with real work alongside his dad’s landscape company back in Idaho. The name Shoots is a tribute to that legacy—it was his father’s original company name.

From day one, Sam has been extremely selective with hiring—committed to maintaining the same level of care and precision on every job. Years later, when the time was right, he brought on his longtime best friend, Brandon Meyers, to help oversee operations. Brandon’s relentless work ethic and attention to detail made him the clear choice to help carry the standard Shoots was built on.
